Eye Health Exercises

The Problem

These days we use our eyes in a completely different way then at any time in the past. Until the industrial revolution a few hundred years ago we used our eyes for both near and far vision all day long. Hunters stalked their prey using far vision, and walked outside on trails using near vision. Likewise, we grew plants and harvested using near vision, while keeping an eye for safety using far vision.

Today the different demand on our eyes is dramatic. Most of us sit in front of computers all day staring at electronic screens, in a fixed position, at the same distance. After work we go home and watch TV with an electronic screen, in a fixed position, at the same distance. We don’t spend much time outside, where it’s easier to view near and far.

This behavior taxes our eyes for two reasons. First, the constant digital light from our computers and televisions strains the eyes. Second, the fixed position (absence of near/far vision changes) causes stagnation in the eye nerves and muscles. This weakens the eyes and makes it more easy to develop eye weakness, poor vision and disease.

The Solution – Eye Exercises

The eye exercises presented by Dr. Jade in this video are very helpful to combat the imbalance we face with our current vision reality. Learn and practice them daily for better eye health. They are simple, easy and fun. Teach them to your children and do them together as a family.

We exercise our bodies to promote health. Our eyes are even more valuable to us. We need to give them the attention they deserve. Start today with these eye exercises.

DIY Home Health Enhancing Exercises

This “Do It Yourself” video series shows you how to take care of your body from head to toe using simple acupuncture point massage that you can do at home, at work, at a hotel or even on an airplane while traveling.

In the history of Chinese medicine, it is always well regarded that people take care of their health from daily living: eat right, sleep right, dress right, exercise right, relate to other people right, manage own emotions right, etc. It is much superior to prevent disease from happening than to treat diseases after the body has shown disharmony.

Our goal at Raleigh Acupuncture Associates is to teach people simple changes in your daily living to enhance health. This video series is in the “exercise right” category to help you to take care your body on a daily basis.

If you have already gotten sick or feeling not quite right, please check out OUR WEBSITE for information on what we can do for you to get you back on track.

What our Clients are Saying

My eyesight started deteriorating six years ago. At first it was real gradual, but in the last few years it got much worse. I was really starting to panic. My husband read about Raleigh Acupuncture’s eye program and enrolled me. I was nervous about the acupuncture at first, but Jinmei was so wonderful that it wasn’t an issue after the first treatment. I don’t know what exactly she did, but Jinmei stopped my macular degeneration. My eyesight is no longer getting worse. I finally found a treatment for this condition and am so happy about it. Thank you!!!

I was diagnosed with macular degeneration five years ago. My eyesight continued to deteriorate each year, with no treatment seeming to help. Then I read about Raleigh Acupuncture and Dr. Jinmei’s work with macular degeneration. I signed up for treatment and am very pleased that I did. I started having improvement with my vision after four weeks, and the improvements just continued as the treatments progressed. The acupuncture was very relaxing and enjoyable and has made a tremendous difference in my eyesight. I would say that my condition is now stable and I no longer fear losing my eyesight. I am very grateful to Dr. Jinmei and highly recommend this program.

I’ve had dry eyes ever since my Lasik surgery. The doctor said it would resolve but it never did. That was two years ago. I had been using eye drops about ten times a day to deal with the discomfort. My brother-in-law suggested I try acupuncture. It worked great. The doctor said the treatment “returned my eyes to their normal state”. That’s what it feels like to me. And it’s lasted. Thank you Raleigh Acupuncture for your good work.

Jethro S

Ever since moving here five years ago I had terrible dry eyes. I thought it was allergies, but the doctor ruled that out. After trying everything under the sun, I tried acupuncture. What an amazing experience. It’s like my eyes are back to normal when I was living in Chicago. High praise for Raleigh Acupuncture. They know what they are doing!

Acupuncture treatment helped my chronic dry eyes. Whereas I had to use drops on a daily basis before my treatment, afterwards I didn’t need the drops any longer. The scratchy feeling in my eyes was gone, and my eyes were not nearly as red. I’ve sent two co-workers to Raleigh Acupuncture since being treated, both for eye conditions, and they also got relief. I recommend this practice to anyone struggling with dry eyes.
