Acupuncture Relieves Dry Eyes
Acupuncture works well to resolve the symptoms of dry eyes. Treatments nourish the eyes, enabling the body to lubricate the eyes with healthy tear production. The condition of dry eyes is an example of how a small imbalance can lead to big problems. Specifically, a minor deficiency in the eye’s ability to generate lubricant can lead to the debilitating condition of dry eyes.
There are acupuncture points on the face and the body that stimulate tear production. For example, on the lower leg, one very famous point (GB37) has the name “Moisten Eyes.” In addition, distal acupoints (far away) strongly influence the opposite end of the channel.
