The Problem
Maybe you have not gotten a formal diagnosis, but you have wrist pain. Other symptoms can include numbness in the hands and fingers, forearm pain, or you wake up during the night with pain or numbness in your hands and fingers. You most likely have carpal tunnel syndrome, and we can help.
How Acupuncture Works
In Chinese medicine, pain comes from a blockage in the channels (a.k.a. meridians). Fourteen channels run through our bodies. One, the pericardium meridian, is primarily responsible for carpal tunnel syndrome. Inserting hair-thin needles in specific acupoints along this channel opens blockage and restores proper qi flow. Normalizing qi circulation in the meridian resolves pain and numbness in the wrist and fingers.
Why Channels Get Blocked
Repetitive movement can block channels. That’s why using a computer mouse all day causes wrist pain. Typing can also promote this condition. Other triggers include cutting hair, painting, writing with a pen for long periods, writing on a whiteboard, etc. Occasionally people will develop carpal tunnel syndrome out of the blue, but the root cause of the pain is always a blocked channel.
Acupuncture Resolves Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
At Raleigh Acupuncture, we love treating carpal tunnel-related pain. That’s because we consistently get excellent results for our patients. No matter how severe the condition or how long it’s been troubling our patient, acupuncture works to heal the body, leading to long-term relief.
Surgery has improved over the last decade, but why go under the knife when acupuncture provides a superior solution for a fraction of the cost and no adverse side effects? It’s always best to seek out less invasive treatment options for health conditions.
What To Expect
Acupuncture is relaxing. All needles are sterile, single-use, and hair-thin. Patients often fall asleep on the table during treatment. Afterward, they wake to feel refreshed and rejuvenated.
Success Rate
We have a 95% success rate in resolving this condition. Try the Raleigh Acupuncture carpal tunnel syndrome treatment before seeking a more invasive procedure like surgery or cortisone injections.

What our Clients are Saying
I’m a massage therapist and never had a problem with wrist or hand pain until last year. My whole hand (right worse than left) starting throbbing and going numb with searing pain through the wrist, thumb and pointer finger. It was waking me several nights a week and interfering with my work. I started getting treated at Raleigh Acupuncture. It has dramatically reduced my pain, to the point where I can work and am not waking up at night. I think the nature of my work puts alot of strain on my wrists, but I’m not ready to give up my profession. I’ll need regular acupuncture for this, but I don’t mind. It’s the only thing that’s helped.
I’m a computer programmer and have been sitting at a desk working a mouse for years. It finally caught up with me a few months ago. I developed a terrible pain in my wrist that made my whole hand go numb, especially at night. The acupuncturist said the condition was easy to treat. My friend had surgery for the same thing. I figured I might as well try a few treatments. That’s all it took. The pain went away and hasn’t returned. Thank you Raleigh Acupuncture!
Raleigh Acupuncture cured my carpal tunnel syndrome for good! This has been plaguing me for years, waking me at night. My hands would go numb and shooting pains would go up my arms. I was nervous about the treatments beforehand, but they babied me! It wasn’t bad at all. Anyway, the pain is gone, gone, gone! I’m hooked on acupuncture now.
