The eye twitch acupuncture solution is safe, natural, and effective. Over the last sixteen years, many patients have come to our clinic with eye twitching as either their primary or secondary complaint. Acupuncture resolves eye twitching by restoring balance to the body at the organ level. Today’s blog post describes a few different cases that have come our way and how we treated them.
Eye Twitch & Migraines
A recent patient came to me seeking migraine relief. After a few treatments, her migraines started improving. That’s when she mentioned the annoying eye twitching that bothered her all day, every day. In Chinese medicine, the Liver nourishes the eyes. And my patient’s migraines were due to Liver Yang Rising (that was her Chinese medicine diagnosis). It was clear I needed to expel the twitch by nourishing her Liver Yin.
And that is what I did, using the following acupuncture points: LV3, LV2, LV8, Li11, Li4, BL2, Yuyao, and GV20. She felt relief right away, with her twitch reducing after the first treatment. After the second treatment, the spasm was 90% better. At that point, I resumed the migraine treatments, and the eye twitching was soon wholly gone—eye twitch acupuncture solution to the rescue.
Eye Twitch & Dry Eyes
A few years ago, a 52-year-old woman came to our clinic suffering from severe dry eyes and eye twitching. She had the condition for the past five years, and no treatment was able to resolve it. She had tried numerous medications without relief. Her intake exam revealed that she had classic symptoms of Kidney Yin deficiency with Empty Heat. This pattern imbalance is common with menopausal women and reflects a body state with excess heat and dryness.
The dryness and heat were affecting our patient’s eyes, causing dry eyes and twitching. Therefore, her treatment focused on nourishing her Yin (moisture) and clearing heat, specifically from her eyes. The acupuncture points used in this treatment included: KD6, KD2, SP6, Li11, BL2, Yuyao, BL23, BL18, and GB20. After six treatments, acupuncture had resolved her symptoms. The key to success, in this case, was identifying the underlying root cause of her twitching and dry eyes.
Eye Twitch & Insomnia
Last year a 32-year-old man came to our clinic complaining of insomnia, anxiety, and uncontrollable eye twitching. He was under a great deal of stress at work and was not sleeping well. He was averaging four hours a night of sleep and was unable to wind down enough even though he was exhausted.
An intake exam revealed that the stress had caused his Liver Qi to stagnate, and the lack of sleep over time had depleted his Liver Yin. These two imbalances triggered internal wind, which was causing his eye to twitch. Treatment involved getting his stuck Qi to flow again. We used acupuncture points LV3, Li4, KD3, CV4, Si shen cong, YT, and Ear points for insomnia. Within three treatments, he was less stressed, getting seven hours of sleep a night, and no longer had eye twitching.
