The age of computers has brought the era of pain in the neck! Let’s face it – humans are not designed to sit in front of electronic screens and keyboards all day long. It’s just not natural. We should be hunting, planting, harvesting, and chasing rabbits instead of being cooped up inside, under artificial lights, slaving away at our terminals, resulting in achy necks.
The good news is that acupuncture can make that pain in the neck go away. Tom is a perfect example. He came to our clinic after having suffered from chronic neck pain for over ten years. After acupuncture, his neck pain is gone. His neck still gets stiff on occasion, but all it takes now is a good stretch, and his neck loosens up, good as new. Your pain in the neck can be a thing of the past as well. So don’t wait. Come in for acupuncture and get rid of that lingering neck pain.
Acupuncture Heals On Three Levels
Acupuncture works on three healing levels simultaneously. First, it loosens tight muscles. The needles release muscle spasms. These sterile, single-use, hair-thin needles painlessly release tension built up over months and even years. Acupuncture retrains your muscles to be relaxed again, and in the process, your pain in the neck is relieved.
Second, acupuncture unblocks channels. In Chinese medicine, stuck energy is the root cause of all pain. We call energy “Qi” (pronounced Chee). Qi flows through channels, like highways, up and down your body. Stress and tension cause blockage in the channels, causing Qi stagnation and pain. Acupuncture unblocks stuck Qi, relieving pain.
Third, acupuncture relieves stress. Imaging Qi energy smoothly circulating through your body. As stress occurs in life (rushed commute to work, taxing sales call, family emergencies, pressing assignments), it (the pressure) attempts to lodge into your body where it can block channels and cause stagnation leading to pain. However, if your Qi is flowing smoothly, stress can’t take root. Instead, it is flushed out of your body and cast aside. No pain in the neck!
Qi Is Like A Free Flowing Stream
Imagine two streams. One is shallow and packed full of branches, tree limbs, debris, rocks, and silt, making it difficult for water to flow. The other is deep and clear, with fast-moving currents. Throw a stick in the first stream, and it will easily get caught up in the clutter, causing stagnation.
But in the second stream, the stick is carried away effortlessly due to the current moving well. Good Qi flow provides similar benefits to our health. It helps us manage stress better to keep us healthy and pain-free, the antidote to a pain in the neck, back, or hip for that matter.
We can maintain harmony in our lives with regular acupuncture, meditation, a healthy work/life balance, adequate sleep, and good nutrition. You may not be able to provide all of these factors in your life (I know that I can’t), but you can get some of them. Acupuncture may be one that you can fit into your schedule.
Pain In The Neck
Don’t put off that pain in the neck another week. You’ll be pleasantly surprised how easy it is to get your Qi moving again. Not only will your neck pain go away, but your stress levels will go down as well.

What our Clients are Saying
I’m a dentist and over the last 20 years the nature of my work and positions required by my work had resulted in chronic neck pain. It affected my sleep, limited my ability to exercise, and was just a real pain in the neck! A friend at church recommended Raleigh Acupuncture and I gave it a try. I have to say that I was a bit skeptical, but gave it a try because I had tried a number other therapies with no success. I’m glad I did. They resolved my neck pain completely!
Very professional and really clear on what needed to be addressed. I made great progress. My neck pain was resolved in three treatments! Wonderful to find them.
Raleigh Acupuncture resolved my neck pain in six treatments! It was so bad I was taking prescription pain medications three times a day for a month. When that started upsetting my stomach I knew I had to find another solution. I thought I was afraid of needles, but after one treatment I saw how relaxing it was. I fell asleep during most of the treatments!
